The team


    John Thöle
John is a founding director and trustee of Edunova UK and Edunova South Africa. He is a qualified teacher and has worked in both state and privately owned schools in South Africa and the UK. During this time his focus was on the teaching and application of ICT in education. He has also had key roles in the selection and procurement of ICT infrastructure and the project management of large scale ICT deployments.

    Terence Berry
Terence is a trained Chartered Financial Analyst with broad experience in projects, financial analysis and managing organisations in the financial, educational and non-profit sectors in South Africa and the UK. He is passionate about learning and the transformation of education. Terence is a founding director and trustee of Edunova South Africa and was a core team member of Edunova UK.

    Khanyiso Tose
Khanyiso has been part of the Edunova team since mid-2005. As a school facilitator he runs ICT skills and curriculum development sessions for educators and learners. Khanyiso was previously involved in a community development project in Philippi, Cape Town where he ran an after school programme in a primary school.

    Makhosazana Klaas

Khosi joined Edunova in April 2006 as an ICT curriculum and skills facilitator. She is an experienced facilitator having worked in a similar capacity at a school previously.

Mlungisi Maqashela

Mlungisi joined Edunova in September 2006 as an ICT curriculum and skills facilitator. Mlungisi was previously involved in a community development project in Philippi, Cape Town where he ran an after school programme in a primary school.

Fezeka Mngutsha

Fezeka joined Edunova in September 2006 as an ICT curriculum and skills facilitator.

Baxolele Mdzinwa

Bax joined Edunova in February 2007 as an ICT curriculum and skills facilitator.

Athi Xoki

Athi joined Edunova in February 2007 as an ICT curriculum and skills facilitator.

Ziphelele Mdlalo

Ziphelele joined Edunova in May 2007 as an ICT curriculum and skills facilitator.




Trustees


    Ncumisa Sebola
Ncumisa is a founding trustee of Edunova South Africa and the Principal of a vibrant primary school, Vukani, in Lower Crossroads, Philippi. She has held this post for 7 years and is extremely well respected for her openness and ability to embrace learning partnerships.
    Doc Sethole
Doc is a director of Prudential South Africa charged with business development and also leads the company’s Corporate Social Investment Committee.  He is passionate about raising educational standards in schools. Prior to joining Prudential, Doc worked for four years at Investec Asset Management and as an Employee Benefits Consultant at Alexander Forbes and NBC for 10 years. Doc has a B.Com degree with an Honours degree from Wits.
    Siphiwo Grabile
Siphiwo is the Principal of Delft South #3 Primary School in the Western Cape.  His style of leadership is well respected and he has recently been asked to assist with the management of another school.  Siphiwo belongs to the South African Principals Association and believes strongly in collaborating, sharing good practice and the development of high standards of learning.
  Prof. John Gibbon
John is a founding trustee of Edunova South Africa and a highly experienced independent education consultant working in South Africa and the United Kingdom. The current focus of his work is around co-operative learning and the ways in which learners can collaborate to improve learning outcomes. He has deep knowledge of the South African education system, in particular the new national curriculum and Outcomes Based Education.

Graham Walker
Graham is a founding director and trustee of Edunova South Africa. He was also a founding member of the core consulting team of Edunova in the UK (www.edunova.co.uk). Graham has extensive experience of leading and managing change in the private and public sectors and now is actively focused on the education reform agenda.
Clinton Walker
Clinton is part of the senior management team of the Khanya Project (www.khanya.co.za), an initiative of the Western Cape Education Department established in April 2001 to determine the contribution that technology could make towards addressing the increasing shortage of educator capacity in schools.

John Gilmour
John is the principal of the LEAP Science and Maths School, the only privately funded Maths, Science and Technology school in South Africa (www.leapschool.org.za). LEAP has a clear focus to create and maintain a structured learning environment that will allow each young person to develop fully as a human being and to develop a positive, caring lifestyle and appropriate work ethic.
